Dr. Amar Phatak is an accomplished engineer with a passion for new technologies in mechanical engineering especially in Automobile, Agricultural, Rapid Prototyping and in disruptive innovations.

He has a very impressive academic record. He has a Doctorate from IIT, Bombay and has secured a first class with distinction. Healso has amaster’s degree in mechanical engineering from VJTI where he stood First in Mumbai University and stood Second in BE Engineering from Mumbai University.

He is a promoter ofAMP Engineering Design Ventures LLP(AMPEDV) which specializes in engineering solutions, services and innovative technologies. Its portfolio of Digital Technology Solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) enables companies to formulate, implement and execute global engineering strategies aimed at achieving optimization and greater efficiency in product realization. AMPEDV works in CAD Customization (Rubber Shapes Calculators, 6DOF, 16 DOF, NVH tuning Scripts), CAE and CAM domain of Mechanical Engineering, Flow simulation of single phase fluid system and AMP Engghas completed 39 projects till now, in India and overseas under his leadership.

He is also a Technical Director inI-Invent Labs Pvt Ltd, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. He is responsible for Idea to Commercial Product in Agricultural Machine. Amarhas previously worked with Mahindra & Mahindra(MES), Pune, as a deputy manager and with Siemens PLM Software, Pune, as Sr. Software Developer.

He also has a passion for teaching and imparts training to B-Tech, M-Tech students of VJTI, Mumbai in Mechanical Engineering. More than 2000 students of BE, Mechanical Engineering have also benefitted from his vast knowledge and expert guidance.

He is a Member of CMIA (Chamber of Marathwada industries and Agriculture), Maharashtra, an association who is working for the overall development of Marathwada region for last 48 years.

At a young age of 40 years he has many publications to his credit and has published more than 27 technical papers till date. He also has two US copyrights. Some of his notable achievements also include publication of Engineering Books published with Wiley Publication,which has international circulation.
